Strategic Plan

In the year 2016, Blessed Sacrament School proudly celebrated its 50-year anniversary. As we look back on the years that led us to this point, we can see a school that has changed, grown, adapted, celebrated many successes, overcome numerous challenges, and ultimately emerged as a strong and sustainable educational community. While the school undoubtedly is a much different place than when it first opened in 1966, the animating spirit of our patron saint, St. Francis of Assisi, and the deeply rooted Catholic values that are at our core have remained constant.

As we envision the future of our school and think about who Blessed Sacrament School will be beyond our 50-year mark, we do so with both an eye on the changing 21st century trends in education, and a spirit that will forever be anchored in our values-based tradition. This new strategic plan has been developed to enhance our many strengths while addressing areas where there is further opportunity for growth. The plan will help to ensure that the entire BSS community remains focused on creating a viable and sustainable school that successfully prepares all of our students to thrive as thoughtful, caring, hard-working, compassionate, and faithful children.

As part of this process, the Strategic Planning Committee identified four key strategic priorities: Maintaining a Dynamic Curriculum, Enhancing Spiritual Life, Educating the Whole Child, and Ensuring Financial Sustainability. The plan that follows used these priorities to develop very specific strategic goals designed to improve and advance many aspects of school life. While the plan is comprehensive, it in no way encompasses everything that we will strive to achieve in the next three years. It does, however, give us a realistically attainable set of goals to remain focused on as we live out our mission, while seeking to position Blessed Sacrament School for another 50 years of academic and spiritual excellence.

Following our NEAS&C reaccreditation visit in April 2017, the BSS community will begin a new round of strategic planning, to be completed in Winter 2018.
