BSS Parent Collaborative

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the Parent Collaborative serves our students and community using our time, talents and resources.  Serving as role models for our children, we foster open communication, create fellowship in the community, and facilitate enriching activities.  Guided by the mission of Blessed Sacrament School, we inspire inclusiveness and harmonious relationships among our school, homes and community.

All families ARE the Parent Collaborative.

Santa’s Workshop. Tuesday, November 27th. Calling all Elves to help with our MERRIEST school event. This event is a festive day for students to shop for their family and friends for Christmas. All of the gifts are priced at $1-$5. Grades Pre-K through 5 will shop during the school day with their classroom teachers and visit with our Special Guest Mr. Claus himself the biggest Elf of all. Middle Schoolers will have the opportunity to shop after school from 2:45-3:15pm. Please see the Sign-Up Genius link below if you can help with any part of the event from setting-up (Monday, 11/26), helping the kids shop, or cleaning-up. Any amount of time you can give is greatly appreciated!

BSS continues to actively collect Box Tops for Education at BSS to help raise a little extra money toward big rewards! There is not much work on your part. These little labels can be found on the packaging of many products that you already buy and are worth 10 cents each – which we receive in the form of cash dollars for our school. We hope you will participate by clipping and sending them in. We are not encouraging you to purchase anything but to simply check the list and clip this rectangle on the packaging (it contains a product code and expiration date) from many products you already buy!

Last school year we raised over $2,000 with Box Tops and with YOUR help and even greater enthusiasm this year, we would like to increase this amount this coming year.

Take a look at for lists of participating products and more beneficial information. On that website, you can also join our school to track our earnings throughout the year. The list changes frequently and includes a wide variety of product types so even if you have looked in the past and think “we don’t buy any of those products”, please check again.

Similar to last year, the homeroom that brings in the most Box Tops for Education by the end of the school year will be awarded a special prize! Stay tuned for a special announcement regarding this year’s prize in coming weeks.

Please keep in mind the following:

  • The contest starts NOW – during the month of September, please send in any Box Tops you have collected over the summer.
  • Baggies for collection of Box Tops are going home with every student within the first days of school. For homerooms to receive proper credit, we ask that you make sure you submit Box Tops in these baggies OR in an envelope or plastic bag marked with your child’s name and homeroom # on it. Teachers have vinyl folders in each classroom and will collect and send to the office at the end of each month. The baggie will be returned to your students for you to continue to collect throughout the year.
  • Spread the word: Only elementary school can participate in the Box tops program so please consider asking family, neighbors, friends and babysitters to collect for us. Those 10 cents really add up!
  • Please be aware of expiration dates on Box Tops. Credit cannot be given for expired box tops since those are not accepted by the company.
  • Occasionally we do receive Bonus Coupons for Box Tops and these are most welcome!
  • If you have any questions at all about how all of this works, please contact Lynne Bongette
