Fine and Performing Arts

Blessed Sacrament School is host to a number of fine and performing arts opportunities for BSS students, including fine arts, music lessons, and the performing arts.

BSS Drama Club

Twice each year, the Blessed Sacrament School Drama Club produces a full length musical. The first is performed on the stage at Blessed Sacrament School. The second is produced at the Xaverian Brothers High School theater. Students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 are eligible to participate. Recent Productions include Godspell, Willy Wonka, Annie, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, and Sleeping Beauty. The latest BSS production was Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, staged at Xaverian Brothers High School in January 2017.

Music Lessons and Performances

As part of our music program, all students participate in school concerts. Voice and instrumental music lessons are available after school on campus as well. There are several opportunities for students to perform in concerts and recitals as part of an extracurricular chorus.

Fine Arts

Students in all grades may participate in extracurricular clubs, such as Crafty Angels, and private art lessons, as well as summer and vacation week fine arts camps. Our art programs merge practical instruction with the appreciation and study of master artists. Each spring student work is celebrate at our annual Fine Arts celebration.
